Before starting her intuitive work, Gada was a writer and writing coach first. She uses an intuitive, creator-focused approach to develop technical skills and individual across in a variety of forms and genres.
Her Creative Coaching and Script Services combine her experience and skill in the technical and expressive elements of writing with her intuitive approach to understanding the personal goals and voice of the creators she works with.
After graduating from her Master’s Degree in Theatre at the University of Guelph, she began her career as Artistic Associate and dramaturg for Pat the Dog Playwright Centre. In that role, she worked with playwrights to develop their scripts for the stage and created an innovative group to train and develop writers called the Predella Project. She honed her creative coaching skills working with this group over the course of six years. In this period, she also co-founded Haus Orpheus, a collaborative music and media initiative created with Antonio Michael Downing (aka John Orpheus) as detailed in his memoir Saga Boy (2021, Penguin-Randomhouse Canada). Downing was a member of the writing group and he and others from the have gone on to publish their work to acclaim.
Over her career, Gada has worked with writers across from and genre and from 2016-2019 she brought this versatility to her work with Virtual Reality at The Games Institute at the University of Waterloo. Her role there included teaching playwrights and filmmakers how to translate their work into 360° films. She has also served as a mentor for emerging filmmakers through the WIFT-Toronto Connect mentorship program.
The Predella Project has evolved into the Predella Studio, a private creative studio where she works on her own creative projects and develops works by others from early stages on. In addition to her own creative work and coaching, since 2018, Gada has been the Creative Director of a film production company called Velvet Icons Productions.
